Medical Staff - Dr. David V. Glorioso, M.D.


Dr. David Glorioso is from the Pittsburgh area, graduating from Central Catholic High School in 1982. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Washington and Jefferson College, Washington, Pennsylvania in 1986. He received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1990. Dr. Glorioso completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Hahnemann University, Allegheny General Hospital campus in 1993. From there he went on to subspecialty training at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital where he completed a clinical gastroenterology fellowship in 1995.

Dr. Glorioso is American Board of Internal Medicine certified in Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Liver Foundation, the Pennsylvania Society of Gastroenterology, Celiac Sprue Association, Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, Pennsylvania Medical Society and Allegheny County Medical Society. Dr. Glorioso is an active medical staff member at UPMC/Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh, St. Clair Hospital, and South Hills Endoscopy Center.

Dr. Glorioso's clinical interests include diagnosis and treatment of esophageal and colon disorders, as well as screening colonoscopy.

Dr. Glorioso lives in the North Hills with his wife, Tammy and two children. In his spare time he enjoys attending sporting events, coaching his children's sports teams and learning about the Civil War, but most of all spending time with his family.
