Medical Staff - Dr. David L Limauro, M.D.

Dr. David Limauro received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Denison University in 1988. He received his medical degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1992. Dr. Limauro completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Hahnemann University, Allegheny General Hospital campus in 1996. Dr. Limauro was chief medical resident for one year after completing his medical residency. He then did his subspecialty training at Medical College of Pennsylvania, Hahnemann University, Allegheny General Hospital campus where he completed a clinical gastroenterology fellowship in 1998.

Dr. Limauro is American Board of Internal Medicine certified in Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the Pennsylvania Society of Gastroenterology, Celiac Sprue Association, Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, Pennsylvania Medical Society and Allegheny County Medical Society. Dr. Limauro is an active medical staff member at UPMC/Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh, St. Clair Hospital, and South Hills Endoscopy Center.

Dr. Limauro's clinical interests include diagnosis and treatment upper intestinal and colon disorders. He has the privilege of caring for the GI needs of many patients with celiac sprue and inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr. Limauro lives in the North Hills with his wife, Kate and four children. In his spare time he enjoys sports including golf and coaching his children's sports teams.
