Dr. Theresa Schuerle is from the Pittsburgh area, Upper St. Clair High School alumni. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Duquesne University. She received her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. Dr. Schuerle completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Western Pennsylvania Hospital and her fellowship in the subspecialty of clinical gastroenterology at Allegheny General Hospital.

Dr. Schuerle is American Board of Internal Medicine certified in Gastroenterology. She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Pennsylvania Medical Society and Allegheny County Medical Society.

Dr. Schuerle is an active medical staff member at UPMC/Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh, St. Clair Hospital, and South Hills Endoscopy Center.

Dr. Schuerle’s clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of upper intestinal and colon disorders as well as screening for colon cancer.

Dr. Schuerle lives in the North Hills with her husband, Caleb and their daughter. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and yoga.
